1. Describe the contrast between the “word of men” and the “word of God”. Why do you think this matters so much?
2. Describe the Jewish opposition to the gospel Paul lists. What are some common ways this happens in our culture? Missions abroad?
3. How does Paul describe separation from the Thess Believers? What insights does this give us into Paul, Discipleship?
4. What do we see about Paul’s value system from 2:19-20?
5. What are some things we generally place value/priority in? How can we tell what ours or someone else’s values are? (What would we look for?)
6. What are some of the effects you have felt from being separated during this season? Describe a time you had to be separated from a person important to you.
7. How can you respond in a specific timely way to the truths of this passage? Who are you aiming to share with? Pray for opportunities.
